Did you mean by "to take the Fire Red and mixed with Black or Brown to turn the color into a Lit Red" from a video.
@MrTieDye
2 жыл бұрын
I do not remember saying that, but mixing black or brown in with the red would not make it lite red, it would be a darker red with the black and more of a maroon if you add brown.... and lite red would be more of a pinky color .... so if I do not want full red, then I go with fuchsia ... which video and what is the time stamp of it??

Did you even wisely order Maroon of 1.Ib of jar fiber reactive Dye. And I wanted you to say or - I can say this but ....... I have something more less than Do Darker red to mixing with Brown ...... how did you even Make Bronze to make it into the black or is it more less and then Dark red. And I wanna to say but can you help me When I started with Darker Red as a instruction.

Is it possible to twist it so it's one big ocean wave?
@MrTieDye
2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is ... I have another video coming up where I show just one wave, or I call it a hook.... but yes just one ... I hope to have it edited and up soon, but I have been quite busy ✌🏻🙏 .... I draw my line where I want the spiral and line of color to be.... in this video, I twist several spirals along that line, but if you just draw one, twist it part way and then pleat the rest of the line on either side of the spiral, then tie it, you will get one wave and then separate color on each side of the line you drew ... and it can be diagonal or you can draw it horizontal on the tee ... I hope that helps for now until I can get the video done ✌🏻

so pretty, I love it and I'll be making one of these. I also ordered some tjanting tools and bees wax so befor I start to do your process, I'm going to have fun putting some pretty hand drawn flowers, hearts and suns on my clothing items. Funny story. I got all my dyeing items from dharma, grabbed some old white pure cotton clothes that were stained (tea, coffee, food). just did a basic dye on all of them with some pretty reds and purples and blues. I showed them to my friends and they all insisted on taking them for themselves and others, before I had a chance to take some pics, so my first 3 tie dye clothing items are now all gone! But I will do more. It was fun and artistic. Sooo many old white clothes I have to dye and then I will start selling them as a fun fundraiser for my charity. Looks like waves will be in my future now. You do great videos and I do love how quick they are now, but I did like your old 2 to 3 hour videos too where you chatter on and on.

@@MrTieDye oh and us quilters use frixion pens (spelling may be wrong), but it's basically diappearing ink that washes out. you have to be careful not to make it disappear with the heat from your hands, but they're great. you can get these at walmart, office depot, etc. also fons and porter makes washable graphite pens that wash and brush off too. you can get those online at joann.com (yes, I order online all the time for pick up, I don't need any germy germs.)

@MrTieDye
5 жыл бұрын
I will add it to my list and get a video made soon.... but here is how I would do it if you are ready to start on one now ...... to make a tie-dye chocolate cookie tee ... I would fold the tee in half, draw half of a circle on the tee and pleat it and then tie it off. Then I would pull the two side apart a bit and then I would gather tiny bits of fabric and tie off for the chocolate chips .... then dye the big circle in tan and the little bits in dark brown ... hope this helps

hey i was always wondering why do u have to put the t shirt inside out why the designs will be on the inside of the t shirt ive always wondered i would really appreciate it if u could tell me why pls reply mrtiedie please
@MrTieDye

Yes, I tie almost all of my tees inside out... sometimes there are little specks of dye that do not dissolve all the way and then they will leave tin spots of color on the tie-dye, but with the tee inside out they will be on the inside of the tee. Also, I use washable markers and pencils to draw designs on and every now and then a mark will not wash out for some reason, so once again they will be on the inside of the tee..... and when I fold a tapestry, I will fold the front of the tapestry to the inside for the same reason. But when you are doing a non-symmetrical design on a tee, you have to remember to flip the image or it will be backwards on the tee.
