More recently we've welded a 50mm long piece of 25mm mild steel to the flat on that little tool; the 25mm has two holes drilled in it end on to accomodate the "prongs"? of the staple. This helps keep the staple stable and allow tighter wire.

What is the little tool you are using to twist the staples and bend them? -very slick!

The tool is just a Gallagher wire twitcher. essentially just a peice of tube that has been flattened at one end and had holes drilled in it. Usless for its intended purpose, much more useful for re-tensioning barb with a staple.

Are you using a 6 gauge x 2.5" staple?

Hello, Sorry I don't know what 6 gauge converts to however the staples were 4mm x 50mm staples. This was a pretty poor video and not long after we perfected the method and could do it very quickly.
