In a sense yes. If you're willing to step out of your comfort zone you can break the algorithm by manually searching to find information in opposition to what the propaganda says so that you can make a comparison, do more research and come up with your own opinion, whereas in China, ALL voices against the propaganda are taken down from the Internet.
@BruceWayne-nx3pr
29 күн бұрын
For example, you can find voices both for AND against wokeism on KZitem, if you ARE willing to hear what the other side has to say, while if it is in China and wokeism becomes the official stance, then anyone who even expresses doubt on this stance will be in trouble.
@GBR9794

@@BruceWayne-nx3pr this, also that's how ccp corrupts their opponent by exploiting their people and make them fight each others through divide and conquer until their government collapse or circumvents to their downfall. that's also why many violent oriented protest groups have tight relationships with ccp overseas representatives. btw, ussr did the same with banks and civil groups in the US before. they failed mostly because the US government was serious about the issue of this "civil" infiltration by cutting finantial supplies.

well duh were kind of in half a cold war and have been for awhile now. China for the first time is finallly near a position where they may actually be able to challenge the current world order which plays a big factor in its struggle to gain power over said order. Its well known that the ccp can and does use any chinese business as an extension of itself to any way it sees fit. Tik gives the ccp a huge weapon of asymmetric warfare that nobody else has and that being the biggest platform of information and influence to ever exist on the planet with no contest among a whole list of other features that can be used for nefarious means. No country would want another(especially one whos kind of adversarial) having the majority of influence upon the youth of their country especially with tik where we know bytedance has ccp ties and how we have clearly been able to see how it can effect real life, politics and even the government itself. Control the youth own the future, you dont have to be a genius to see how tik could potentially be a major threat to ones national security. If i were the government i would be very worried about it aswell and so should the citizens of a targeted country. They can easily use tiks algorithm to radicalize masses of individuals by targeting specific groups with specific things and so much more ita capable of which could cause serious issues at some point. If it did help cause something big like a civil war or revolution or some violent crap like that then its the citizens here who will suffer the most so yeah people should be paying attention and weighing the risks. We know the usa government doesnt actually care about its citizens or the country as a whole for that matter so my opinion is that the government is somewhat scared or worried about tiktok because they realize just how powerful of a weapon it can be if its utilized in such a way especially when there is alot of anti usa government content and the likes being pushed(which is a threat to their wellbeing and existence) along with how easy it is for us to communicate and coordinate amongst ourselves aswell as be influenced by an outside force and they just dont know what to do about it so theyre just going to ban it out of fear and having no other effective options lol. I dont want it banned but i fully understand why there is a push to do that and i wouldnt be much upset if its ban

It seems odd a social media company isn’t concerned about losing 120 million American users. They have no intention of selling clearly. And are going to fight. Not mad about this. I'm German, so it wouldn't affect us directly, though TikTok might take a hit in popularity here as well, once US creators vanish from the platform. TikTok has been wreaking havoc on German politics, to the point where at least 22% of teens identify with far right movements, for which TikTok is seen as a major driving force. I'm not sure if the vacuum, which would be created by US creators leaving the space, would be filled with more far right and outrage content, so things might get even worse here, who knows.

It's dangerous. Any app that can potentially show you something outside your country's propaganda needs to be controlled using any means necessary. It's not about China adding content that would influence users. It's that they could quietly sensor voices they don't want and boost voices they prefer. It would only take the slightest tweaks of the algorithm for them to present a completely different version of reality, as well as influence behavior on a vast scale. They are implementing this coercion right now, and a lot of damage can be done in a year.
