Please for your safety lower the table saw blade to about a 1/4 inch above the top of the plywood. If something happens you will still cut yourself but not as bad. The blade that high could take off an arm. Great project!

Great work but You should think about lowering that table saw blade. You really only need to have 1/8" or one sawtooth above the cutting surface for safety.

Wait, so you lower the whole table? I’m a little confused as to what you mean by saying, “one sawtooth above the cutting surface” I want to be able to fix things myself, but I have no idea what I’m doing. So I’m genuinely curious 😊 thanks
@calvinwhetstone3103

@@Maybe.Its_You Sorry The blade height above the table is adjustable. You should try to set it's height just a bit higher than the thickness of the wood. It should have said above the surface of the wood being cut. This way only a small portion of the blade is exposed while cutting.
@EricGreniervideo

You need to lower the blade. It should only come just above the wood.

she can't because last time she cut wood without being covered (I mean she had safety gear on but obviously not a hoodie), she got saw dust on her head and broke out in hives really bad. you're right though im sure there is a better solution than wearing her hoodie like this. hopefully this is just a temporary solution since she's at her parents house for the Christmas week.

Hey lexi , just for future reference. When using a table saw , you should set the blade depth a 1/16th of an inch higher than the acual height of the material being used. Just for safety purposes.. And it minimizes the ammount of saw dust being dispersed into the area. Just figured id throw that out there. Grest job btw for a DYIer..

do you live in the US? idk, in certain areas of the United States anyway, people pull into their garage, and then go into the door in the garage (like a lot of people with homes don't enter the actual front door). anyway, the door in the garage often leads into a small laundry room area like this. so I'm guessing that bench is for sitting down to take off boots and such, like a mud room (I think they are called that)
