The Live in Moscow version is worth a watch that's up on Till Lindemann's official KZitem. The opening is changed up when live

I think "Farbenlos" means colorless...so when he sings "Wenn der farbenlose Tod Mich in die kalten Arme nimmt" i believe means "When the colorless death Takes me in its cold arms"

Hey, did you yet listen to "G Spot Michel" by Lindemann? Might be audio only, but I don't think I saw anyone else mention it yet? Always makes me smile. Also Mathematik with the intro and outro parts lol! Keep up the good work man ☮

The translation is inaccurate. 6:57 "Wenn der farben-lose Tod mich in die kalten Arme nimmt" is translated as "When the colourless Death takes me into his arms".

@@RodgG.001 That would also fit the song lyrics. I don't know the interview. That's what I heard while listening. But he already wrote a song about cancer with the song Home Sweet Home.

@@RodgG.001 could it maybe be both, connected? I mean being about pregnancy and labour and birth and parenthood and that which encircles us all, after all, the only certainty in life is death. We are connected by the blood that runs through us, there's the "red thread" idea/belief that I believe exists in several disparate cultures of a version upon a theme of some kind of "red thread" that either guides our lives, or connects us to others etc. He may be speaking about his father and of leukaemia (and/or other blood borne illness and disease perhaps too, even parasites) but there is still the father-son connection. I don't know if in the time and place of Till's birth if the father's were allowed to even be present, and certainly I don't know the circumstances around his birth! But I could see many related interpretations that combine both the aspects of pregnancy and of a bloodborne cancer, and also of a thread that unites. For example the blade, blood around beginning to clot, the thread cut etc - that could be referring to postpartum, cutting the umbilical cord, once cut it ceases being a living pulsating thing, and a thread connecting two people is in some ways cut, maybe the relationships between all are different now that 2 are 3. Various post child changes etc. Perhaps the mother had a difficult birth and haemorrhaged and needed a blood transfusion, immediately before that she would be pale, cold, bloody, etc. I don't know if I am managing to convey that which I want to say, I have such a clear mental image but I am very tired and so have much pain tonight that it is hard to know if I am even writing English let alone anything remotely comprehensible ☮

Please please react to LINDEMANNs "wer weiß das schon." It's Till's voice at it's most beautiful, paired with a female operatic voice kzitem.info/news/bejne/tJyDuIukcItzYKQ
