Nothing can get in the way of a damn good actor who's sincerely invested in his character. Bravo! (And R.I.P Captain Tim Birkin)

Although this is a rare drama role for Rowan Atkinson, his comic moments still come out in this.

I cannot think of a better actor for this role, mr atkinson is a de facto petrol head and connaiseur of vintage motorcars. I'm excedingly greatful for your uploading this smashing dramatization. *HUZZAH!*

Poignant story - Mr Atkinson played a blinder in this old film. He was perfect casting for this story. The height of respect to both him and Mr Birkin .

What a great story and we'll played by Rowan Atkinson. Tellible ending for the poor chap. Blood poisoning from an exhaust burn. Who would have thought such a thing was possible.

Some critics could watch this and say it is corny. I think it is superb story telling in its simplicity. It is not a 2 h drama with millions spent recreating the race cars (because it is not about the cars!). It captures the essence of the man, through dialogue and simple visual cues. I was wishing he wouldn't die, and end the story.

What an odd ending to his life, I checked wikipedia before finishing the video expecting him to have died in a crash, not a burn from an exhaust pipe. The image I got from there was that he was bending under the car searching for the lighter, not sitting next to the damn thing.
