I was at the game too. I brought my son to see his first MLB game that day. Boy did he strike gold seeing a no-hitter at his first game.

You have to love big time Timmy Jim and his mustache lol. 2nd career no no against the Padres...wow I just realized that. How many Pitchers can say they have 2 no hitters against the same team?
@aquariaaustin2077
10 жыл бұрын
Only one other pitcher has no-hit the same team, and that was Addie Joss against the White Sox in 1908 and 1910. That's how hard it is to do. So point that out the next time someone says that Lincecum's no-hitters aren't that big of a deal, simply because he got them against the Padres. First of all, I don't see other pitchers getting no-hitters against the Padres this year. Second, if getting two no-hitters against the same team were so easy to do, Lincecum wouldn't have been the first in over a century to do it, and the only one to do it in consecutive years..

Unpopular opinion but I miss the Padres blue uniforms. I understand the Padres switching back to their brown and yellow colors and their fans wanted them to switch back to those colors, but the Padres blue uniforms felt more like a San Diego uniform to me, even though the Padres kept changing those uniforms towards the end.

Did he ever come back out for the interview? The players should have waited until after the interview was over to give the gatorade bath. Everyone wanted to hear Lincecum interviewed.

Man, hard to believe this was 10 yrs ago. The Giants championship teams from last decade feels like another lifetime when the Giants were in better shape as a franchise. I miss these Giants teams!.... Hopefully the Giants can turn things around soon with Bob Melvin at the helm.

I see a lot of comments saying his fastball was he key to pitching. I disagree he has a smaller frame then most pitchers like Pedro. Only difference is Pedro was more carful with his pitching style.

Lol how in Tim Lincecum's last at-bat everybody is standing up when usually when the pitcher is up to bat everybody is booing (It was because of the no-hitter and he had two hits before that at-bat).

Honestly this was probably the smoothest and easiest no-hitters I've ever seen because no crazy catches were needed, just 6 strikeouts with routine groundouts and flyouts.

He certainly had a great arm back then but he has always seemed to me to be rather anti-social, even before he got water dumped on him he didn't seem to care to celebrate much or to be interviewed at all, and then when he got iced he just basically said fuck you guys and stormed off....wouldn't want him in my bullpen.
