Another great review Danny, thank you for that.. Quick question, what would be your Top 5 favorite affordable backpack (edc, minimal travel) of All Time and which one of them could be your one and done bag? Regards

Wow nice timing. I'm eyeing this against a few other Aer backpacks. It's so tough to decide!

Yes same for me ,just confused between Thule subterra vs delux vs authority

@@RN-jo8zt But the thing I'm noticing is the lack of storage pockets compared to Aer bags. I'm leaning heavily towards Aer for that reason alone else looks wise at least T2 wins

Thank you for watching! Definitely a tough choice between the two, I would say aer bags feel a little more rugged and as the comments mentioned, have additonal organizational pockets so if you a little bit of a higher budget it might be worth it

I love my Fjallraven Raven - except for the fact that it doesn't stand up on its own. How well does this this bag support itself? It looks like it stands up on its own pretty well in your video, but you do don't specifically mention that.

I'm deciding between Timbuk 2 Division Deluxe vs Q laptop pack. Which one would you think it's better for school and traveling?
@dannypacks
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! Both are great bags overall and which is better will depend on your organizational preferences, the q has some additional pocketing whereas the division has a simpler layout (I do think the division deluxe is more comfortable than the q however)

I've had the original Division for some time now. It's a nice bag but*. That's pretty much how I describe it when people ask. The slash pocket on the outside is useful enough but that volume seems to intrude more on the main compartment than against the outside material. As deep as it is, it feels best suited for a rain jacket / pair of gloves / tech pouch. Small stuff gets lost in here. Laptop compartment is fine but does not have a false bottom; that seems to be different from the Deluxe version. It fits my 15" Lenovo gaming laptop, barely. Water bottle pouch is tight for a lot of common water bottle sizes. When I emailed Timbuk2 about adding another water bottle or a carry handle even as a custom option, I got a simple 'no.' Main compartment is fine; it fits stuff reasonably well, provided you don't have the slash pocket too full. The organization panel on the original Division is pretty useless with lots of pockets, no elasticity or retention for things in them, none of them really shaped well to fit common things (outside of the one couple inch by couple inch zippered pouch I use for eye drops and a spare battery). I'm glad to see the Deluxe version got rid of that mess, what you showed off is much preferable to the original. I like the new harness system on the Deluxe; the original is still pretty comfy but having the luggage passthrough just seems like a no-brainer these days and I appreciate that the Deluxe has one that keeps the bag oriented vertically. No complaints about the original, appreciative of the updates on the Deluxe. Good review Danny!

Thank you for watching! Although the bag offers some weather resistance I think water would start to seep in if you were on your bike for an extended period in the rain, might look at something with an xpac or tarpaulin fabric
