Thanks for growing with us!
The Fall planting season has begun! We designed our foundation bed to have three layers of plants but unfortunately the front and middle layer are too similar to created the look we wanted. That means it is time to move some plants and replace them with a hedge of Invincibelle Spirit II and Invincibelle Ruby hydrangeas. This is a great time of year to plant because we are 6 weeks away from out first average frost date.
We moved the three Eustacia Vye David Austin roses and Proven Winners Spilled Wine Weigelas to the backyard in a bed where we had annuals and then planted up the hedge. We moved Fire Light Tidbit to another bed and that allowed us to fill the second layer with the 7 new hydrangeas.
Cleaning up annuals to prepare for the transplanting was very satisfying. The annuals were looking tired and ready to go away.
