One thing we didn’t mention in the video that we want to mention now is….
When using the Acholi way of telling time, you are simply converting the time wherever you are.
You aren’t converting it to the time zone in Acholiland.
For example, if I ask Jacob what time it is.
He could say “cawa adek” (hour three).
That means it is 9 o’clock in our home in the USA.
Not in Acholiland.
If you wanted to say the time in Acholiland, you’d have to first account for the timezone and then convert it to the Acholi way of telling time.
