Excellent, up and going, some fine tuning and hit the road....the real test. My tuning consisted of listen, screwdriver adjust, make a pass, read plugs, repeat as necessary....lol......Later Tater.

Good for you learning to tune will save you a lot of money take it slow and you have the know how to get the truck right.

When you get tired of SCT look into a quarterhorse... Can tune the truck with it running live.

Yup, I know about those. A buddy of mine uses binary editor and quarterhorse to tune his truck. I went with SCT because the guy whose teaching me to tune prefers it, I may switch later, but SCT is working fine for now

@@DebtLife_Projects understandable. I started with SCT as well. Just spreading the word that there are better options out there. In the time you had to make one change, load it on the handheld, then flash the truck you could have literally completed the entire maf curve with the truck running. WOT is easy, however the things that are hard is the cold starts, isc/iac multiplier going in and out of gear, and transient fueling. SCT will work fine but can't datalog as much or as fast as quarterhorse, and it will take about 100x longer to get to the same tune. Luckily your combo is pretty mild and should be relatively easy to dial in. Best of luck to you.

That’s freakin badass that you’re tuning your own L Shawn! I also will be tuning mine, but utilizing a combination of both the mongoose and Quarterhorse (bought recently). Some solid advice that was given to me by a well known tuner (he has a thread on LR tuning multiple 1k hp Lightnings) was to be sure to read plugs (closest ones are fine) and tune in small increments (500-1000 rpms at a time). Hope this helps and looking forward to seeing what this puts out in the quarter!

I need to get the PRP and learn how to tune mine as well. I 'm in the process of installing the 2.9 Whipple on my 98 4x4 conversion truck.

I went through three different FP gauges before getting one that was accurate. I bought a cheap Amazon kit and ended up buying the AEM kit in the end. It made tuning much easier once my FP and LAMBDA/AFR were all reading accurately. I also suggest getting a wideband O2 kit Zeitronix.

Yup, it was the gauge. Swapped to my old one and it worked as it should. Also got an aem electric gauge for in the cab, and those two match, so we are good to go. Got my other wideband installed so I can read both banks, and checked them with a lab grade ECM AFM-1000 and they all matched readings. So ready to rock 🤘😁

Been checking out your vids from the get and I have been enjoying every minute. Fashionably late. The GT500 setup is truly the best setup for the street/strip. I didn't catch it but did you keep the upgraded intercooler or was it a whole new setup? Also, are you using a dual wideband afr setup?

That's awesome, I appreciate ya watchin for sure!🤘😁 it's the same upgraded trick performance intercooler, I was able to keep it and swap it over to the new midplate. I did go with a dual wideband setup, my latest video shows installing it actually. I already had an aem wideband/boost combo, and I got another aem wideband, so I can monitor both banks, and tune for the leanest one. Gives you alittle more wiggle room for safety

Not sure where or when exactly it'll be yet, it's still in the works. Keep an eye on the channel, I post videos about the meet as soon as I know, well in advance, so everyone has time to get their trucks ready. I also post it on my Facebook and Instagram page "DebtLife Projects", if you wanna follow there

I have a 2000 Ford lightning I wanna run the 2.7 upper pulling at 6 pound lower pulley I just want to know is there a way to tell if I have the ATI balancer without removing my Bulley first?

Not that I'm aware of. Hopefully the motor is built and you have a lot of boost cooling mods, thats too much pulley for a stock motor and will make a ton of heat that will need to be accounted for (heat increases chances of detonation, even on built motors)
