The paleontology department at the Sternberg Museum was awarded an Institute of Museum and Library Services grant to care for Miocene mammal fossils from Kansas. The Museum holds an extensive fossil vertebrate collection from a locality called the Minimum Quarry that has proved information for understanding these biotic shifts. This project will allow Museum staff to better manage the collection, easily access specimen data, support researchers, provide professional development opportunities for students, and engage the public through interpretive exhibits, educational programs, and online data publication.
