I purchased Recut during Black Friday sale last year, and applied the $10 discount on top of 50% from BF, so I bought it for $39 (Original price was $99). I love using it so much, it's so essential to my workflow now.

Thanks, gold information and program. I've been cutting out 200+ cuts in my clips manually, and getting wrist pain. Already bought the program and cut an hour long clip down to 27 minutes. Appreciate it man :)

edit: Bought Recut about 5 minutes after watching lol. Thanks again for the informative video. :) Solid video! Prior to watching this, I tried Recut & actually emailed the creator asking a few questions and like the program, like the cost (I always prefer paying a one-time fee over a subscription model, no matter the cost... Which is why I went with the Studio version of DaVinci Resolve for my editing software), and the creator seems like a cool dude lol. It also did what it said it would do. Recently, I tried "Glint" as well, and liked it as well. It's $5 per export (regardless of length), which is cheap but... for the reasons above, am not going with it I think. Timebolt I have not tried, but looked into and just... don't like it. Can't put my finger on why lol. Anyway, thank you for the video. I think I'm buying Recut lol.

Guessing you will pick Recut over Timebolt. I'm calling it from the beginning of the video (given I've seen past videos). But I'll watch and see what you pick ultimately and reply to see if I was right. :)

I was right (plus your website indicates this), but wow... Timebolt's UI is a lot more clunky than Recut's, which seems leaps ahead of Timebolt from a "maturity" standpoint. Also, pricing-wise, Recut seems far more persuasive. I also agree that I would likely never entrust my editing to a software that only did a 10% job at it and wasn't really meant for it from the beginning (like Timebolt or Recut). Thus, those extra features being added in Timebolt simply wouldn't persuade me to use it over Recut whatsoever. The value proposition as you demonstrate in your video is by far and away superior on the Recut side and, if I am ever to need services like Recut, I would absolutely pick Recut. Oh and lastly, the fact that they have to charge you for the "um checker" is ridiculous. It's such a minor coding thing that it should never be pay per use in software that is already fairly expensive for what it is. In no way do I believe Timebolt is worth more than say $60 USD LIFETIME. Nor would I pay monthly for it. Recut is hands down the winner for me. Thanks for sharing.

Doesn't Timebolt have the ability to do zoom keying in on your video with each punch? Does Recut have this?

Great video Nick! I tried Timebolt for around 3 weeks and didn't really get on with the programme - frustratingly it kept deleting clips after exporting so am now considering Recut. P.S. Love the animated logos at the beginning of your video!!! What software/plug-in do you use to create these?

Yeah give the free trial a go and see how you find it! Thanks, I just used Final Cut Pro with the in-built tracking to create them :)

The fps has to match. By default it uses 30fps. If your timeline fps doesnt match it will delete. The way I use it with davinci, i export as xml as in the video and then import as a time line. Make sure project fps is 30

Don't use timebolt. New Adobe features replace everything... Their unsubscribe is classic disgusting tactics... They hide it behind options and email responses. Multi layered cancelling....

Recut looks good but I’m looking for something that can cut out breath sounds as well. I’ve tried a threshold-based programme like these before and if the threshold is high enough for breathing, it ends up cutting out some speaking as well (especially the “s” At the end of plural words) and I couldn’t really find a sweet spot with padding. I think I probably need a tool with some kind of AI built in that can detect breathing sounds

Thank you for your review. Do you know a program to delete (deep) breaths? Debreath isn't successful for me.

Unfortunately not. Recut might get them if they are less than a certain amount of time.

Why do we need these given so many full DAW or editing apps handle this by default?
@softinix9462

Multi languages are not supported in many apps. If you use davinci the way it handles this is through transcription and unfortunately it doesn’t support arabic so I had to use timebolt

@@millionairemoxieso actually I’m talking to Recut about having it so sections disabled in Recut are disabled in the video editor. This would be very helpful for podcasts.
