@@alecdiaz7040 Lonzo's done lol. If he does come back he's not going to be half as good as he was before his long injury break. And even then he won't be able to last ~40 games before going out for the season. He's pretty much finished w/ basketball tbh
@alecdiaz7040
5 ай бұрын
@@TrueGuardify lol how could you possibly know that ? Smh ..yea the professional player is finished w basketball at 25? lol I mean it was a unlucky injury that wasn’t treated right and a lot of time was wasted with treatments that didnt work for him until just last march. Everyone reacts and recovers from injury different. Most cases the meniscus removal is the way for athletes for quick recovery and return(7weeks) but sometimes it’s not best long term. The only way is to find a donor and get a transplant. young active ppl usually are going this right for long term health .older people wouldn’t be ideal for this bc It’s gonna take way longer to recover 18-24 months) and studies show 90% of athletes are able to return to pre-injury sporting activities following meniscal transplantation. And exactly 1 year last march is when it was done right. Today lonzo is on the court getting work in. Dunking the ball, shot looks wet, and is running. an In another 7-8 months when the new season starts where do u think he’ll be at in recovery? Id say pretty close to 100% seeing it’ll be the 18-24 mo of the recovery. but we’ve seen similar story happen before w rose who missed significant time but came back was major contributor still in chi and then ny and minn. difference was rose was the best player in the nba at the time on a #1 seed team. Lonzo is a important piece but we’re not counting on him to be the #1, 2, 3 or even 4th option with Coby white break out. What he does best is being an elite perimeter player. Defending/shooting. And obviously push pace and facilitate to bucket getters. Those skills aren't something you lose. He could still be the player Chicago sees him becoming.but ya It's going to take some time to work through the on-court conditioning issues that come with such a lengthy layoff, to develop a rhythm of course. But regardless the bulls are significantly better the second he’s on floor. Also another that comes to mind is Paul George broken leg. It’s been nearly a decade after the man’s leg literally SNAPPED in half. That was about as bad of an injury as I’ve ever seen, but yet here he is today still in the league playing at the highest level. Blake Griffin is another great example. Westbrook even. Both guys that suffered what could’ve been career ending knee injuries and came back to play as athletically and explosively as ever. Jeff Green another amazing candidate! Joel Embiid? Straight facts
@TrueGuardify
5 ай бұрын
@@alecdiaz7040 Westbrook and Blake Griffin weren't plagued with a mystery injury that flares up anytime they run and makes them unable to play the game (literally not even an exaggeration of what Lonzo has), and not for more than 2 years. Being out of action with clear recovery goals for 3-4 months is not the same as being out of action for 2 years and having to go back to rehab each time you attempt to build up to actually running down the court. Hell, look at Klay currently after 2 years of no basketball. We don't know what's going to happen in the future but Lonzo has always been injury prone even prior to what's happening with him now, it's only more downhill from here, assuming he even gets healthy enough to play the game. I never said Lonzo isn't a great player or a potential amazing piece to a contender. His body just isn't made to play basketball at the NBA level over an 82 game season, he is extremely unlikely to have a long career producing at this level and more than likely will return half as good as he was when the Bulls were a #1 seed before being injured again. I'm a Mavs fan and it helps me easier to sleep at night thinking we're just a few trades away from being real contenders, even though I know that'll never happen lol But believe what you want if that makes you feel better.
