My grand grand grandfather, Emile-Antoine CORBILLON, was a French engineer. He lived and died in Egypt, working in sugar factories. He invented a plane, called the EAC, and wrote many letters to Wright brothers. His patents were confiscated at the beginning of the war by French army. I still have his engineering books and plane drawings at home. I am an engineer too and, now, I design satellite instruments.

2:50 there's a epic story about the Farman F222, those planes were used by the "aréopostal" in the 30's and one of the best long haul for his time. during the battle of france one of them called "jules verne" by it's crew, destroyed a column of the rommel 7th panzer division who was on their way to dinkirk and most importantly they made the very first bombing raid on berlin, yes a single plane hit the very heart of the reich by taking a huge detour by danmark and was never shot down during the battle of france, in 1942 just before he was discover someone burn it before the german took it it was a order given by the captain henri dellière who died short after in africa

God damn it would be so sick if Il-2 Sturmovik (ww2 flight sim) had focused their efforts on The Battle Of France instead of the Battle of Normandy. We would have gotten to fly all these incredible 1940s era French aircraft. We already have most of the aircraft they are going to release in The Battle of Normandy, but there are NO French aircraft in the game at all, even though the French shot down more Luftwaffe during the few weeks of The Battle of France than the British did during the entire Battle of Brittain.
