I'm a fan of the handle design and rubber bottom I finally went for a better grinder than my old ceramic burr (I'm with you, it wasn't a good time) Went with the 1zpresso JX and I love it. The distribution works for my needs (non-espresso) and the burrs are sooo much easier. In retrospect, I would've gone for a little more premium model that comes with a case and exterior settings but, the wife likes the cost I paid much more :D

That’s actually the other one I have been looking at. I want to try 1Zpresso and the comandante just to see how they are! All better than the dang ceramics! Haha Thanks for watching buddy!

@@RobPirieCedarOtaCoffee for under $200, I don't know if people could get a better grinder for non-espresso. I would like try the JX for espresso but, I don't have a machine to play on...yet

I hear that! I would love to try the Flair 58 or something. But "espresso" is an entirely different level of hurt on the wallet.

Using the Normcore v2 at the moment. Debating on going to the 1zpresso max but I only use Aeropress and v60 so way overkill for my needs at the moment.

I actually want to try the 1Zpresso as well. I think micron click wise they are one of the best grinders.

As an user of timemore C2, just wondering do you still keep the data of the fine particle percentage of the X-lite comparing to C3? I'm planning to upgrade to either one, will go for x-lite if it's fairly better than C3 on grinding quality. Thank you! Love your content!

How many microns is the difference between clicks?

About the 'micron' question, hope the following is what you need. Chestnut2: 27.63µm= 0.02763mm Chestnut3: 27.61µm= 0.02761mm X Lite: 10.8µm= 0.0108mm I reached out to Timemore and this is what they gave me. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Grinding with the Chestnut Slim Plus since april. Actually your review kinda convinced me of getting one. I love it for my filter brews (V60, AeroPress, Chemex), it's very fast and way more uniform than my old Hario Mini. Still wonder how different it tastes when compared to a C40 or K-Plus.

Ya that’s a good question. I think the next one I want to try is the 1Zpresso grinders. They seem pretty legit. Thanks so much for watching my friend!

The number of clicks is kinda irrelevant. If it's gonna have clicky adjustment it needs to be

Just looked and I don’t see it in the booklet that came with it either. I’m going to email the Timemore team that sent it and see if they can look it up. I will let you know what they say. Thanks for watching my friend!

The clicks make huuuge difference on this grinder, im only using for filter but it's still a deal breaker for me, not that its necessary but at this price I'd like to see either small adjustments or stepless to justify the purchase. Guess they just wanted to trade this off for fitting the entire range on one rotation due to the design (fixed numbers rather than counting clicks). I'm going to opt for either a Feld47 or a K-max instead. Leaning toward the feld47 for its beautiful design, high bean capacity, and the stepless adjustment.

You should look at the chestnut X if you want micro adjustment. It has 120 clicks per rotation (or 2.2nm per click) vs the J-max that has only 90 per rotation (or 8.8nm per click).
