Today is one day that makes you wonder how 55 years have passed so quickly and the many memories. Your Christmas s with your family as a child , all your high school years , your college and early years at work and thinking you will never get to see retirement and now it is upon us. Most of all-a beautiful song that brings back all off these memories and more When you start missing your family that have passed , you can dream of wonderful memories and not be so blue inside . I heard this song today a far distance away from the TV. I remembered hearing it as child. I was 10 years old when this song came out, and I thought it was beautiful then. So l looked it up online today, and as the song played, I had to grab onto something, because the words touched my heart so deeply, I felt like I was sinking. I have the fondest memories of my childhood during those days you know -my innocence. There was so much love, laughter, and hope. The music in the 70's: soul, rock, country, jazz, blues, etc., was in my opinion the very best, and I'm so glad I was there to experience it. Thanks Mom for exposing me to so much music! Those were the days.., or should I say "the times of my life."

The lyrics of this song are enduring... The song summarizes all that we need to do while we have breath... while we have this so-called LIFE....Its truth remains the same throughout eternity no matter what the generations may be. Moments. Times... They run through our life...When they are gone, we have something left to us, something to hold on to: MEMORIES.... and they are the ones we play over and over again. I love this song so much!

Funny how a song like this brings many of us together to feel something special. Something we feel collectively with similar if not the same memories that make every one of us emotional and caring for others' and their loved ones. Helps us forget about all of ugliness going on right now in the world and our country because at the end of the day we are all human with a heart full of memories.

I'm 52 now.. and this may sound silly to you (unless you were a "closet nerd" like I was..and guess still am). A met a friend when I was 20 playing Dungeons and Dragons. The friendship lasted for over 25 years until he died. He didn't have much... but he left me all his "role playing game books". ALL of them.. and there was a lot. Many of them aren't worth anything.. a few are... but it was the THOUGHT. Anyway, while looking through a few of the books...even though I've had them for years.. I came across some of the FIRST charecters we ever made. Characters that we played for YEARS. On the original paper... faded... stained with soda spills. I cried. I may sound silly to you ("it''s just a silly game!").... but to me it was major socializing and some of the most memberal times I've had with plantonic friends. This song makes me think of those times.

The laughter and the tears The shadows of misty yesteryears The good times and the bad you've seen And all the others in between Remember, do you remember The times of your life? (do you remember?) Reach out for the joy and the sorrow Put them away in your mind The memories are time that you borrow To spend when you get to tomorrow Here comes the saddest part (comes the saddest part) The seasons are passing one by one So gather moments while you may Collect the dreams you dream today Remember, will you remember…
