Never got the t3 plus but can Def say their tinbuds 3 are the best sounding tws I've ever heard and I've owned almost every set of tws made over last 3 years. I tend to grab the tinbuds 3 more than any set in my arsenal right now even over my olina with the qudelix 5k and tripowin lsc08 2.5 cable

I am going to drag these out of retirement and give them a listen with the Spinfit W1s I just got in. I could not wrestle the 100 plus on the big nozzles on the T3 plus.

Personally, I find that the t3 plus can be a little muddy in the mid bass region if you're listening indoors with narrow bore tips. But if you use these outdoors where there is inevitably more ambient sound, they are just about perfect at this price range - nice 'musical' tonality and timbre. Also Acoustune AET07 are nice tips for these (they come with the 7hz timeless)... Right now, my favourite IEMs are the Shuoer ej07m Kinda Lava (HBB collab) and the Dunu SA6. Both have near perfect tone and timbre for me and I recc both if you want to try them out

Agreed, I don’t recommend narrow tipped tips, for these at all EJ07M review is completed, will be out in a timely manner I am sure, Patreon is ahead of KZitem by seven reviews I think I need more time with the Timeless I had like 15 minutes with it, I think the treble region was better than S 12

@@ConvinceMeAudio Yeah, I think the consensus is that the s12 treble is a little too spicy and that's the main reason I haven't even tried it. Even the Timeless' treble is too much for me and gets sibilant on a number of tracks. Look forward to the review brother.

@@CoCoMaNRePs on very well mastered tracks is brilliant, but it’s still the weakest part of the unit If they give that aspect of the unit the same performance boost as the base and mids, it would be a $1500 IEM But the problem is that is the most difficult part of IEM to get correct and is the most difficult and expensive part of the unit the treble

@@ConvinceMeAudio That's why I prefer Tribrids with EST drivers. They have less treble boost corresponding FR yet they deliver great detail retrieval and clarity. Cymbals mostly sound off on S12. It reminds me of many Beyerdynamic headphones which are notorious for their treble peaks, too.

I’ve owned the T3 Plus for some time now and feel that they are one of the better candidates in the sub $100 EDC category. I do think that you’re over exaggerating their performance though. While they do outperform their price class, I have several item’s in the $200(+/-50) range like the Kato, Timeless & Mangird Tea that clearly outperform them. I find that they do have some roughness in the treble when the volume gets pushed. I changed the cable out to a Tripowin Noire which helped to smooth out the treble issue a bit. I also feel that the Tripowin x HBB Olina offers better overall performance for $20 more.

The kato are great, but there are areas where they are lacking S 12 in my opinion takes it over those units Unless you misunderstood, or most importantly I did not explain myself, correctly, most of my evaluation as a rule was for the $69 category and slightly above where S 12 resides, not reaching $200, so I don’t think there is anything that actually beats it in $69 the category

But the tuning, and the timbre quality I would exceed 200 and below it’s kind of great for those two aspects

@@ConvinceMeAudio I have not heard the S12 so I’ll reserve comment other than to say that I am somewhat treble sensitive & as most reviews describe them as being more forward than the Timeless, I don’t feel that they would suit me. The Kato tiptoes up against my personal treble threshold while still remaining manageable. The Olina can actually trigger me but I’ve managed to tamp it down a bit by using a pure copper cable & a Radsone EarStudio BT receiver. In that setup and application, they are tremendous.

i always have a soft spot for the original t2, on an unrelated note do you think its easy to damage electrostatic drivers in an iem with too much volume or are they as durable as ba and dynamics
@ConvinceMeAudio
2 жыл бұрын
As a rule the unit themselves have been given a certain threshold that you should not really exceed otherwise you’ll blow up the drivers, But those kinds of volumes far exceed listening volumes, you should not be reaching higher than 90 dB and that is already going to be damaging your hearing anyways If you are listening above 100 dB, you have more things to worry about than actual driver damage If you can’t stick to 80 dB which is very loud anyways you should be more than fine, but yes you can in damage equipment of course you can if you go beyond the threshold

@@shanek1248 I don’t think that little unit has the power to damage it made, I think it’s just in your head due to the shock and you thinking holy crap why the hell is he maxing it out What I honestly can’t be sure but I doubt.
