This is a recording by Flossie Malavialle (Paul Donnelly on guitars) of 'Tin Soldier' - a song written by John Wrightson of Murton, County Durham, in tribute to the sculpture '1101' by Ray Lonsdale.
The song was lovingly recorded by Flossie and Paul for Flossie's new album 'If I Have To Go'.
Situated on the sea front on Terrace Green, Seaham, County Durham, the sculpture (nicknamed 'Tommy') is now the pride and joy of locals, who raised enough money for the sculpture to remain in their beloved town.
Regarding the photos in the sequence - I am really grateful for the photos I managed to find; I hope the photographers are happy enough for them to have been used for what could turn out to be an effective promotion for this lovely attraction. Thanks again.
