Cant fight the tears on this one. This song always reminded me of my parents. My father was an alcoholic and abusive to my mom. I would catch her singing or humming this song all time when he was gone. That abuse came to an end the weekend of my 10th birthday when she finally gave up the fight and left him. She filed for divorce shortly after. She means no ill will towards him but she didn't want to go through that anymore.

To have a mad angry father is not good... I can remember how my daddy that I loves and he loves me will get mad sometimes and fuss up the house over his keys or cleanliness. Im so happy it didn't and haven't led to abuse to us to our mom. I just could imagine what you had to see as a child 🚸 watching your mom get abused by your dad. I just used to see my father argue with my mom and brought pain to me as a teenager the things he would tells her or us. But, now my mother passed and away and they have never gotten a divorce. I was blessed to still have mom and dad as I was older also. All the way till I was 26 years old. My mom's name was Tina and my dad's name is Tony and my name is Tonya. I thank God for my mom and dad relationship they have had. I pray 🙏 I have the same without the arguments. My mother reminded me of Tina Turner from the movie with Angela Bassett ...

I played this song and she would always play it when she would think of us as friends. Sonja and her husband would fight and fight and fight!! She would play this song and cry thinking of us when we were young. She was my BEST friend then and though gone she's my BEST friend now. I love you Sonja I'll see you heaven.
