It’s hard not to get caught up in the “why me” so keeping up a gratitude dialogue with ourselves is a good reminder. Thanks again for your help in the tinnitus community!

I suffer from hyperacusis aswell as TT and thats my hardest part. I cant really find anything "I CAN DO". Going to birthdays is a nightmare, hoing for walk is hard since i always meet a dog owner or a motorcycle, i cant work in the garage because i always manage to drop something, home projects, hobbies etc. The only thing that work decent for me is computergames where i can lower my volume and keep it "low". Really dont wanna sound negative and i really hope it will improve but its really hard when your heart wanna go see your family and friends but your brain cant handle it becuase of the sounds :/

Really sorry that you have been having these problems with your ears. And pleased don’t feel like you have to apologize for sharing your story. I know it can be difficult with hearing issues. if computer games help you then that’s great. As I mentioned I think it’s important to find what works for us individually. Sending you best wishes and thanks for watching. Jack

Thanks Jack, I’m going through a spike at the moment. I keep repeating to myself “it’s just a noise, I’ll get through this”, one of the first things I heard you say. In the meantime I’m grateful I can still play quietly on my nylon strung guitar. I’m finding sounds I would never have found before. Positive and grateful ❤.

Hi Jan. I absolutely love this comment and here’s why. I too have discovered new elements to my music because of my limitations. It’s actually made my music better . So love the fact that you are finding new elements to your music . Stay strong 💪

@@thetinnituschannel Just sitting with a cup of tea (decaf of course 🙂), and noodling quietly on the guitar works for me. It distracts the mind and creates your very own sound therapy. I love crossover/hybrid nylon strung guitars, they’re halfway between normal steel acoustic and full on classical. I have a Taylor 312 CE-N 12 fret, and I love it 🙂.

@@jan-penny excellent. Must check that guitar . I also like nylon. I’m a big L Cohen fan and love his guitar sound
