We set off from Lucinda and headed over to Zoe Bay on Hinchinbrook Island in the tinny, it took us about half an hour to get there , once there we beached the tinny and tied up to a log ( we forgot the anchor ) Being the wet season we had a big storm the night before so the track to the bottom of the falls was very wet in places , its a fairly easy 1 klm walk to the bottom of the falls , however due to the rain the creek crossing was fast flowing and quite a challenge to get across once over the creek you get to the bottom of the falls, it was awesome to see them with so much water going over . We decided to make the trek to the top , its only about 500 m to the top but was very steep and slippery in places . Once at the top the view is nothing short of amazing . Hot tip take water ( we forgot that as well ) .
I had seen photos of the swimming hole at the top but we stayed well away due to the torrent of water going over .
If you get a chance don t miss this one , it a bit of a mission but well worth the reward .
