It annoys me so much the way governments dictate the type of shelters we choose to live in. For the VAST majority of our species history, and still today in parts of the world, that little cabin would be seen as luxurious

Hey Jenna- thank you for the original A-frame design and props/link- I appreciate it! The OG one was built in 2014 (My design, Joe Everson built it from my plans, and sketch by David Stiles). Its cool to see how many have been built, or inspired by it, all these years later. This couple did an awesome job! Fun video too! Plans for it are over on my Relaxshacks blog

Humanure composting toilets are a better solution than plastic bags, in my opinion. We have off-grid property and use the humanure system, easy, and the compost we create in the dedicated compost bins goes back to the trees when it becomes soil. See the Humanure Handbook. (you use the same bucket and seat that you have, but use wood shavings/peat moss/even leaves as the composting materials, use - cover - repeat and when full put in the compost, rinse and start again. No plastics, except the bucket and seat which are reused.

Congratulations on the new baby girl. What has me shaking my head is how are they going to fit on a twin bed when mama starts getting a little belly going? I know there is no way I could have slept on a twin bed when I was expecting. I tossed and turned so much there wasn't room for anyone to be In queen bed with me. And then there was the pacing. Umm no. Not outside at night in sub zero weather. Or in summer hot humid weather either. Give me DIVA comforts in any weather until delivered Thank you! That aside both places are darling and so are the occupants. Tfs

so great to see this because I really like the changes made to what looks like (?) Deek's original plans. and putting the bed from side to side is absolutely brilliant as opposed to lengthwise. I want to build two of these next year & was trying to figure out the bed. so thank you!
