I applaud and admire you. Somehow you managed to fit an entire lifestyle into that tiny space; cooking, eating, sleeping, showering, nail care, hair styling, fashion, relaxing, reading, tv-watching, storage, AND a pet! You are a woman who can get it done. 🙌🏼 I can’t wait to see what you do with your new place, hope you’ll share that journey as well... and good luck! Much luv from NYC 👛 xx

Wow! Great tour! I've seen several videos that people made who live in these downtown Vegas apts., and wondered where they put all their stuff. It was like they had a bed and a couple cooking and personal items, but you showed how a normal person would store all their belongings in this tiny space using low cost storage items extremely efficiently as well as adding some style with your personal touches. Nice!

I know right? That's what I hate the most about home makeover shows. They just take out all the stuff! Like of course any room will look great with a giant table that only has a floral arrangement on it and a bookcase with only decorative items, but it isn't realistic. You know the "after" is going right back to the "before" once the camera crew leaves and the person brings back all their toiletries and mail and electronics and souvenirs.

My brother's first apartment, in the South Bronx, NY, came with an incomplete bathroom. It was located at the end of a long hallway, next to the kitchen, and it had an open floor plan. Not only did it not have a door, it didn't have the 4th wall to put a door in. Just before you reached the kitchen, you were literally looking inside the whole bathroom. He lived alone, and was traveling most of the time, so it worked for him. It didn't hurt that it had a few bedrooms and a view of Manhattan, and his rent was less than $500 a month. That was in the mid-1980s.

Hi Kym, Great use of your space and I love your personality and I too am creative. Being creative keeps our minds and hands busy and the Lord rejoices in that such as a verse says in ecclesiastes. My mom passed away 3 weeks ago yesterday and living alone without many friends, creating is my saving grace friend. I may have to move in the bear future and I may have to go small in a studio so I like to see ideas. I hope your enjoying your new place and when you get settled you will have to do another tour. Maybe you already have one. I am off to work. Have a wonderful day and I hope the dun is shining bright where you live. Sincerely, Rebekah in Arlington, VA

I completely understand why you'd want to move from a small space lol. I think it's a great space for a minimalist but if you're into fashion and things it's going to be a struggle. I've watched some other videos on 211 and people can get creative with the space though it's fun to watch lol. My main concerns would be how hot the apartment gets in the summer, especially if you're cooking. I know they have places to cook in the main area but I doubt I'd use it. And how hot the room gets after a shower or bath, I'm usually pretty quick in the shower for the most part. I would imagine with the air on and a good fan blowing the cool air around it keeps such a small space relatively cool?
@KymPossible

The 2 random dots could be from Sheetrock screws popping out under the compound (plaster) , Sheetrock/dry wall is usually screwed into wall studs every 15 to 16 inches and your wall looks like they applied a textured finish, but in a apartments with no texture its not unusual to see small screw head circles or the paint will pop off there !!

Girl... This is not a slam against you at all, you do what you got to do and it looks like you've made the best of a very small situation but... How can they even rent a place with a toilet 10 ft from the cooking surfaces and not even have a door? I can't believe that within code. Hooker motels have doors on the bathroom! 🤣 It disgusts me what people will do to make money - They basically built a room smaller than a cheap motel and called it an apartment.
