You ruined the pliers, I rip out my springs. When your cool springs pop out the pliers and it hits a live line, you'll understand

Too much sticking down in the grip area. You weakened the strength of the pliers, and, by drilling holes in the insulation, they are no longer insulated. If you hold the pliers in your palm with your thumb holding it in there, your first and bird fingers on the outside of the bottom handle and your third and pinky fingers on the inside of the bottom handle, you can operate the pliers like 99% of folks do that have ever held pliers. The tiny pliers and spring loaded pliers are nicknamed "Sissy-Pliers" and most folks that use them tear the springs out the first two days they have them. Strippers come with a spring and a lock. They're a pain in the butt till you rip the lock out of the way. It's bad to brush closed about the time you get in a tight spot and you feel like....!
