You ruined the pliers, I rip out my springs. When your cool springs pop out the pliers and it hits a live line, you'll understand

Every time a new electrician would join our local, they'd show up with "Sissy-Pliers". Before the first day was thru, their springs were in the spare parts box and the handle latch was ground off. They're a waste of time and space and they don't go into your pouch worth a dern, either!

Too much sticking down in the grip area. You weakened the strength of the pliers, and, by drilling holes in the insulation, they are no longer insulated. If you hold the pliers in your palm with your thumb holding it in there, your first and bird fingers on the outside of the bottom handle and your third and pinky fingers on the inside of the bottom handle, you can operate the pliers like 99% of folks do that have ever held pliers. The tiny pliers and spring loaded pliers are nicknamed "Sissy-Pliers" and most folks that use them tear the springs out the first two days they have them. Strippers come with a spring and a lock. They're a pain in the butt till you rip the lock out of the way. It's bad to brush closed about the time you get in a tight spot and you feel like....!

Only if you want that spring in your hand .
@OcRefrigeration
Жыл бұрын
@@janee7995 agreed , that might be possible , i would never do this. not necessary for me. that thing hangs down too far into hand area for me , it would interfere for me. i would drill the holes alot deeper so spring piece was all the way in farther for the most protection against popping out & also fill hole with silicone rubber to hold spring in place even more , but still allowing for flexibility ! if your going to do this.
