This model 3 is roughly 5 1/2 years old and had 96,500 mi (155,600 km) on the odometer at the time this video was recorded in late July 2023. Recently I shared some Battery Charging Curves on Twitter which showed an early peak of ~255 kW but then a fairly large reduction in charging power to about 150 kW after only a few minutes. The weather has been very hot, 90-110 F (32-43 C) so cooling capacity may have been limiting the charge curve. Branden Flasch recommended I check to see how clean the battery thermal management components were. This time lapse shows that work quickly taking place. I used the advice that Tesla Tips by MTN Ranger but I went beyond what he did and also popped out the condenser from the driver side clip. I shot a time lapse of this job from a couple angles, look for that here on the channel as well.
