Marriage takes a lotttttt of work. Let no one deceive you. Personally, I used to be so carried away by what I saw on social media, but now, no. I'm more interested in the work we are putting in to make it work 1) I've learnt to let God take the driver seat 2) I'm learning to fight for my relationship and pray for my partner especially for myself, for God to work through me, my heart, the way I respond and above all to truly submit. Not because of my partner, but because of my relationship with God. One thing I'm grateful for is that, my partner has a very subtle way of passing across his mind. We all need to extend grace to each other. Thanks for sharing Leah🤗

I totally agree with you about counselling. There are so many benefits and we should not wait until something is wrong or feel bad about getting help if we need it.

Hey Leah thanks for this video. Its helped to confirm what I'm doing for myself on terms of healing while being single is on the right track. Thanks for being transparent. Please could you do another video with Cory. Would love to know his insight from singleness to marriage, what he has learned in and about marriage what hes learned about himself and even his tips from a guys perspective of what to prepare for , what to do and even tips for the ladies on what to expect or not expect when entering a relationship to be married.

Leah, I could not have agreed more when you said marriage is like a mirror! That’s the biggest lesson I’ve learned in my almost 3 years as a wife! Everything you said was spot on about fighting fair (it’s us against the issue not us against each other) and taking care of your own demons first because they WILL show up in your marriage (still learning that part) this was SUCH a great video and it encouraged me to finally try counseling in the new year! May God continue to bless your union! ❤️

Now we talking!! This is powerful!!! I can’t begin to tell you how this is helpful. Now during my singleness all people is telling me is to grow in my relationship with God which priority!! I get it. But we need more people to tell us what we don’t want to get into or how to enter.. basically keeping it real when it comes to marriage.. it’s not enough examples out here!! Thanks for sharing. Definitely gonna check out counseling.

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with us. As a single woman, I have been working on being great friend and all 9 fruits of the spirit. I know I won’t be perfect in marriage, but I want to make sure that I dealt with all the issues that could potentially harm my future marriage.

This video was AMAZINGGG! thank you for being honest and sharing this. It’s so evident that marriage is really a growing process, and a lot of the time that part is left out. God really intended to use it as yet another way of transforming us to be more like Christ. I pray your home continues to grow in love and many more amazing fruitful years ahead. God bless you girl ❤️

I want to do counseling for myself and with my future spouse. My issue is holding things in that irritate (that has absolutely nothing to do with him) and lash out on him when he does something little. I definitely address it and notice it now ( I used to not notice when I would do it). But stopping and talking about what happened and why I’m actually mad is my issue. When you said love is a choice, I was like A WORDDD! 😂 And yes please do make a video with your husband!

Straight truths, Leah! This video was so good. I really hope that single women really take this to heart, especially your note about getting counseling before marriage. That’s definitely something I wish I would have done before I got married because there were so many areas that I didn’t even realize I were broken in until I got married! Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much for sharing. This really blessed me. I feel like because I was hurt in the past, I’m hurting good and nice people right now in my life because I haven’t fully healed and it’s taking a toal on my relationships. Really need to take some time for myself as a single woman and let God do a open heart surgery on me because.... I also need counseling to be able to pin point those areas where I need the most help. I’m sick and tired of hurting people I love. They don’t deserve that. Thanks again for those tips and God bless you and your marriage !!!!

Yeah. Marriage and families that are healthy provide a strong support for humans and help us to be happy and strong to do what God wants even if things get hard. The devil doesn't want that for us. He wants broken people who have no support or core values to keep them going. The devil wants broken moms, dads and kids, who then create broken societies. So yeah.... Marriage takes work but the benefits are priceless. Thanks Leah! God bless you.
