I have it too and when people won't take the time to listen to me I tell them it's like tourettes, and then I swear at them.

Yeah, I got it too. I was after a really high and long fever. I'm 40 and I don't really remember anything night for like a week. It DOES affect the communication system, and I can't spell right. I used to be in the Spelling Bee in middle school. Best speller in the Northeast and prolly the East coast in general. Anyone here get mad at your aphasia, mad at the conversation, mad at yourself? It gets me so enraged, that some people don't wanna be around me, and vice-versa? Have you punched inanimate object's cuz for "that many number of years" - (your age) you can't speak like a normal person, and everything was cool. And then, *BANG*, your ship is

I've had aphasia for nearly forty years and no-one helped me, in fact, until five minutes ago I never knew there was any sort of therapy for it. You're young enough to get completely well. Keep up the good work.

How do you speak so well after having aphasia for forty years? Just wondering
@toni4729
5 жыл бұрын
@@vickieminhas6592 It's anomic aphasia and writing is a lot simpler than speaking although it's taken me five minutes to come up with the right words here. I had to change a couple of a couple of them because the ones I wanted to write wouldn't come up.

My brother cannot even have a conversation and struggles with the easiest of words except yeh and no oh and "fucking he'll " which he uses both for when he's angry and when he's laughing at something . Communication is very hard and frustrating for him when he can't make us understand but sometimes he just chuckles at himself but has a look of someone with the beginnings of dementia although he still recognized family etc. It's so debilitating and made worse because he doesn't get speech therapy as he's been let down very badly in my opinion by health professionals who think because he says no if they ask him if he wants it that he means no but his yes and nos are not reliable we were told by doctor

Can people with aphasia still think, I don't know much about it but I'm interested to learn, if you loose language and forget word is it the same when you think things? Does the language completely go or Can you still learn it?

Yes, I too have unequivocally writhed and languished in the predicament which you find yourself in our contemporary times but in reverse. At the present, I am not able to convey my cognition and contemplations without using the most grandiloquent style of narration. It has become an elevated burden which I exist for the sole purpose of carrying and that is why you should hire me Mr. Employment Screening corroboration mediary.
