So true!!! After 14 years of driving here I'm finding I like it better. I have got pulled over once for passing a double yellow line but he let me go with a warning. You do see some speed cameras but after a while you know where they are so its easy to avoid getting a ticket. I guess I know now why other drivers have been giving me the peace sign...haha... I was thinking they were just being friendly..jk

Thanks for your advices and tips! Very interesting and very usefull! I have a question for you, my friend- if i am a turist from Europe( Romania) and if i want to rent a car in Brasil, my european car driving licence will be ok there? ps- the name of that huge pilot, killed in a tragic car accident, in formula 1racing ,is Ayrton Senna

I do believe that your license will suffice here for the duration of your tourist visit.

Sorry, but i have another question for you- what are the speed limits in the cities, out of the cities and on the highway( km per hour- being an european guy, .... not miles...lol).... For example in Romania the speed limits are 50 km per hour in the cities or villages, 90 out and 130 km per hour on the highway. Thanks Pepi!

Inner city limits range from 40-60kmph. Highways ranges are 80-100kmph.

I heard that you receive tickets by mail if you break traffic rules in cities

Yes, that is very true. Lots of traffic cameras are now in use in Brazil.

@@pepielci Is this because of the deal Brazil made with Chinese tech company Huawei?

@@pepielci There's this guy who was complaining on youtube about receiving tickets seemingly randomly even while careful. He said there's no way to avoid it. I think he's living in south brazil

@@lrn_news9171 No. The traffic cameras have been in use forever. Stoplight cameras are common. Got three tickets for being stopped just inside of the crosswalk. There are areas on the highways that are “Fiscalizatao Electronico”. Kind of like a school zone in USA. Speed drops to a slower limit.
