Thanks for that. I spent most of the day idling on Guntersville yesterday looking for new spots! Found a few

Thanks for the great information! Not used to fishing current and ledges. I can't wait for next week! It will be my first time on Chickamauga

I fished the all American on Nickajack in 2013. I saw several guys fish the areas that you highlighted on that map. Spot on and yes, fish do live there.

Love fishing Nickajack. I live down in Dalton and have probably have fished it more than Chick over the years. Thanks for the info. There are also several good exposed rock piles that can be used as a current break between the old Hales Bar dam and the Hwy. 41 bridge.

Thats good information especially for anyone like myself that is new to bass fishing techniques other than beating the shoreline. We just recently moved near several lakes in the piedmont area of NC. I am pretty lost in the whole process of finding fishing here and very new to using todays technology. I have spent a good bit of time trying to learn the "how to of Garmin echomap plus 93sv and navionics mapping on my phone. Its all quite overwhelming! Lol Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

I don't have a river lake that pulls water , can ledge fishing be good on lakes without moving current being generated We have wind current.

As to my answer to your question not really unless you have wind generating a current or sometimes boats will make current. You need something to move the waters to have a good ledge fishing on a non river lake. I would say the key for you is to find current. Wind current is probably the best for your condition.

Good stuff. What if you are fishing a lake like chick or Ky that has a main river channel and secondary smaller channels that are parallel to main channel separated by high spots? Which would you idle first?

So on those areas like you showed where the creek channel dumped into the main channel, would you set up downstream and cast upstream and have your bait come uphill on the side of the creek channel or use something like a crank that will just hit the lip of the creek channel? Thanks for the information.

Yes, exactly, that’s how I normally set up. Sorry I had a hard time verbalizing it, lol

Is it feasible to do something similar to a lake with little to no current. I live near barren River lake in Kentucky and it just doesn't seem to follow the same rules as a lake with current. I'd love to see a video on this type of lake.

I actually havent fished Percy. If it has a lot of current, it certainly could be very similar.
