I really like your videos. They are always so simple yet so practical especially for the novice fisherman like myself who wants to have that edge by not doing as most of novices do which is "Blind Fishing". Thank you

Your videos are lekker, man. Thanks for all the helpful tips. The most useful being don't use braid. This technique has some appealing aspects, incl. (1) you can use softer baits like sardine at long distance, (2) without bait you can thrown a sinker much further, and (3) You can keep on sending out baits without having to recast. I also love the way you said "not a very big fish" -- perhaps by SA standards, but I wouldn't mind that :-)

this is helpful, I used to think you slide the bait straight down to the sinker, but the eye of the sinker looks weak, the stopper ring makes sense to me know! where can I get stopper rings ?

I been trying to find out if anyone uses a slider system with two rods. I have 10' heavy rod with a 6000 spinning reel and a 6' 50-80 rod with a Penn 60 lever drag. Instead of yaking out baits for the 50-80 rod (Drone is illegal here) is it possible to use the 10' as the anchor and use it to slide the bait out for the 50-80? Maybe using something like a downrigger line release on the slider? Ideas on Pros and Cons if it may/may not work?

Does the line holding the hooked fish break away from the line holding the surf weight and the surf weight line stays deployed to send another bait down the line? So this method uses two rod & reels, correct? One rod deploys the heavier line and weight the other rod deploys the bait?

no its only 1 rod used to send out the bait

People slide off the beach all the time, it's more work but it works fine and it gets a big bait out there.
