Hi Grace! I recently started an intensive UX/UI bootcamp and it's been exciting and also so much work (since when was anything with bootcamp in the name easy, amirite?). I know I definitely have that habit of saying 'I think..' and 'maybe it could be this..' during interviews or when talking to my seniors. Hopefully when I feel more secure in my knowledge I'll be able to weed out those habits. Thank you so much for the tips in this video and the previous UX video!

I definitely feel Melody. Interviews are definitely tough but keep practicing and with more interviews, you'll become more confident in yourself :)

Hi Grace! Would you have a list of typical questions that they might ask a UX/UI designer, like the ones you have mentioned here? That you would prepare yourself for? I find your interview tips very helpful to me :)

I recently got laid off from work and am thinking to switch to UI/UX. I always had an interest in design and visuals, but never felt like I would be artistic enough to do it since I absolutely have no experience. Thinking to do a bootcamp.. but there are so many out there! From your experience so far, do you suggest getting myself familiar with certain programs first or watching tutorials before attending a course? BTW, you're very personable :) I really enjoyed the video and advice. Keep us updated with your career, we would love to learn more about it~ Thank you!

Hi Anna! I'm sorry to hear about your work but that's very exciting to hear that you're interested in UX! You don't have to be artistic to learn UX/UI so no worries there. I know there are a TON of boot camps out there so I would say research before you commit (since it's expensive >

Grace - thank you for the advice. Like you, I am working on getting a UIUX designer dream job. I'm thinking about getting a remote internship right now because of the virus. Even if the virus was not here, do you think it's better to get an internship or a full time position? I don't feel ready but that's a common feeling for even design students. What is your opinion from your experience?

Hi Amy! I've definitely been in your shoes. It is difficult to get a full-time position right after school ends and it takes quite a long time. Unless you find a really cool PAID internship with the potential for full-time, I would honestly say just be patient and keep searching for a full-time position while sharpening your skills as you apply! I hope that helps!
