Great tips on the statue of liberty. Not many realize that the copper statue, was a gift from the people of France, it was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and its metal framework was built by Gustave Eiffel. Ferry times are important to consider for sure.

I went to the Statue of Liberty probably 13 years ago. When I went I think part of it or most of it was under construction. I definitely don’t remember learning or seeing all of this. Sounds like I need to revisit whenever I go back to NYC. And great tip about being aware of the ferry times.

It looks like you had a great visit to these very symbolic places in the United States despite the bad weather. I haven't had the opportunity to visit your country yet, but I would like to do so in the future. Yourtips and experiences are truly valuable for future tourists!

We've never been to the Statue of Liberty so this episode was very helpful. I think we'd want to go to the crown... depending on how much more expensive it is!

I’ve done Ellie Island as a child with my family. Now when we go the closest we get is the Staten Island Ferry to see it from afar!

I'm glad that the weather cleared when you were at the statie! Always better with a bit of sun! Good tip about the ferry and you sure have a great view of the skyline of New York from there! 😊

Hi, such an informative and clean video... I will be visiting in a month.. Is the ferry free or can you please give us the name of the ferry? I have seen the Staten Ferry.. so confused. Thanks in advance

Thanks! Nonthe ferry isn't free, you need to purchase a ticket either online or when you arrive at the terminal. You can take a ferry from NYC or NJ. I think it was called city cruises.
