These and many more still exist in the methods rooted in the XIX century, like Vaganova's and Bournonville's, and there seem to have been even more movements and positions in XVIII century ballet; it's a little bit sad that most of the world has not so much knowledge in real classical ballet, and only know a small part of it that became mainstream in the XX and XXI centuries.

Thank you for your comments, how true! I adore Bournonville and have the deepest respect and admiration for the older style Vaganova teaching and methodology which also seemed to have many more steps used in the daily classes and a lot more ‘reversing’. Doing combinations in reverse is perhaps less popular today. I’ll be making some more short videos on lesser known steps in the next few weeks, several of these steps used by Cecchetti may well be direct descendants of the XXIII century.

But if it's not used I guess teaching it gives a wider scope of expression and strengthens the body of the dancer tecnically

The Bournville method is used particularly the Danish Royal ballet

Is this method accepted in all acknowledged ballet companies such as Marinsky The Royal etc?

No it isn’t. Cecchetti used to be taught as an extra at the Royal Ballet School until 1988. It is not taught as a main technique in any major international vocational institutions as far as I know. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
