I don't know the hosts name, but he is already becoming my favourite interviewer on YT. I really appreciate the way he let's his guest speak without constant interruptions. He asks great questions too. I'm looking forward to more of these.

He literally is my favourite interviewer, everything comes from a place of learning rather than having something to prove. The questions are concise, considered and perfectly pitched in terms of simplicity/complexity.

Jose thank you for all of the great interviews thus far, this has quickly become my favorite channel! I really love hearing interviews with mastering engineers in particular, this interview with Maor, and the interviews with Adam Ayan and Brian Lucey have been amazing!

Important to remember with these interviews: its entirely possible for somebody to be an excellent practitioner (procedural knowledge) but be totally misguided or ignorant about why their process works (propositional knowledge) or visa versa. Im confident Maor could make their masters sound just as good, if only in a different way, if they only had stock plugins available to work with in his current room. Do not fetischise the gear, fetischize the experience and practise time as well as monitoring situation.

From my experience, people that own a ton of gear and are great engineers often times don't touch it unless it could really be beneficial, and even then, maybe only one or two pieces.

So vague. Doesn't give any specific examples. He does broad strokes even when doing interviews.
