My mint plants are 6 years old and do not spread outside its barriers.
The mint family can be invasive and quickly take over the garden. Therefore, its important to keep the mint contained. To keep the mint runners from spreading, I planted the mints in a bottomless large containers measuring 8 to 24 inches in diameter and with a similar depth. I sunk deep into the ground. By sinking them into the ground, I kept the container’s top rim at least an inch above the soil, this prevents the mint plant from spilling out into the rest of the garden.
I try to harvest my mints regularly, but his time its al little overdue.
