I prefer the brand "sparkling ice" flavored water. 0 Calories and all of them are amazing, it's none of that water mixed with a nasty barely functional taste. It actually has a taste comparable to what it says (I personally love the cherry limeade and strawberry lemonade)+ you're actually getting a significantly larger amount of water compared to pop/soda

So happy you showed us the spices! When I didn't have a lot of money I used to buy the frozen chicken breast and throw a few of them in the rice cooker to boil. I'd put the frozen hashbrowns on top of the steamer tray while the chicken was boiling and eat both for a meal, no seasoning. I'd eat that 3-4x a day. My girlfriend now wife thought it was the most disgusting thing, and looking back on it it was pretty bizarre but damn I was ripped and it was so easy to make!

I want that sugar free Hershey's syrup. Mmh! Wish I found it here. I lived on a maximum of 1500 calories for 7 months straight (lost 77 pounds), logging every calorie I ate, and found a lot of joy in all sorts of products like these, although on the Norwegian/European market. Some staples in my diet: Unsweetened almond milk instead of normal milk, especially for protein shakes. Unsweetened almond milk has no carbs and very low calories compared to milk, and of course helps for lactose intolerance. I'd also add some frozen strawberries and ice cubes to make it even more delicious. It would froth up in the blender and become an extremely filling low calorie meal. 30 g protein powder, 200 g frozen strawberries, handful of ice cubes and 500 ml of almond milk, and some stevia drops for a flavor and sweetener boost, if need be. The calories wouldn't be much higher than a protein bar, but a lot more filling. Which leads me to stevia drops. These are amazing. They're really sweet, only a few drops are needed, and they come in some quite good flavors. Chocolate and caramel seems to always be pretty good. Great in coffee drinks, in shakes or in desserts etc. Different brands of "zero drops" are also great, which use mainly sucralose. A few squirts of strawberry or raspberry drops in some cottage cheese is an amazing dessert or snack. Perfect on a low calorie diet. Hot sauce on everything. Most vinegar based hot sauces are near-zero calories. Cholula Chili Garlic is my favorite. Not too hot, so you can use a lot, which you want to do. Perfect on a taco salad. Cottage cheese can substitute sour cream for a lower calorie and higher protein alternative in taco salads. Waldon Farms Sugar Free Pancake Syrup, which is a maple syrup substitute, is probably one of the best sugar free (sucralose) syrups out there. It's perfect on your protein pancakes (of course made with almond milk instead of water or milk, so that it's both low cal and delicious). Waldon Farms Thousand Island dressing is also one of the better near-zero calorie dressings, that has a slight vinegary thousand island quality to it. I'd mix it with low sugar ketchup and mustard, with some chopped onions and perhaps some chopped pickles, in order to make a low cal and low carb Big Mac style burger sauce. Perfect on burgers (Hint: Use two patties on top and bottom instead of buns, and layer the green, cheese and sauces inbetween, in order to make a handy burger without buns... Of course, salad wraps also work nicely), or in burger bowl, which is honestly a lot easier to make. Had one today, actually, although with a full fat dressing. Sodastream, or similar carbonation machines, is a convenient life saver for the ones who likes their diet sodas. You can get diet soda syrups that use stevia and sucralose instead of or in addition to aspartame, if that's something you desire, and you can just make up any sugar free flavor you desire, even making your own carbonated diet workout drinks, if you have flavorless powder and electrolytes. Just don't add anything to the water before you carbonate. Haha. I probably have a ton more. My log was filled with all the different kinds of meals I made and things I did. A lot of what I did I've brought with me into my subsequent keto lifestyle.

My strategy to making cutting easier is to never let myself get hungry. I drink a ton of water, I eat a lot of low calorie foods, and I eat all the time. I find if I let myself get hungry then I'll start craving burgers, pizza, sweets, all the junk food, but if I'm not hungry then I don't get cravings which makes the diet easy to maintain.

Also, Walden Farms makes zero calorie salad dressings in Ranch, Honey Mustard, Raspberry and Balsamic. They are a great substitute. Throw some strawberries and a few walnuts into a salad with the Raspberry dressing, and the flavor pops. Very, very low calorie. You won't miss the cheese and croutons if you mix the right flavors in the salad. So while the dressings are not perfect and of course are going to be blander, the extra flavors makes up for it.

Love your videos and take your advice to heart. From my understanding, some newer research is showing that artificial sweeteners may negatively affect your gut's microbiome and the metabolites may be stored in adipose tissue. Since having a healthy microbiome promotes complete digestion and nutrient optimization, a lot of trainers are advising not using them. What are your thoughts on this?

A few tricks that help curb my appetite: (1) I blend a large glass of ice with my protein shakes along with a teaspoon of psyllium husks. The added volume from the ice with a bit of fiber help fill me up. (2) Large servings of cruciferous vegetables with spices or sriracha sauce (3) Riced cauliflower in place of white rice (when calories come down) (4) This sounds bizarre, but it works for me: shredded cabbage with some Splenda sprinkled on top. Jeff, If you try it let me know. It's a bit spicy for some people but I like spicy. Now I have to go find some LOL. I'm sure some store has it around here.

Thanks so much for this video John. do you have a top three or so sweeteners to look for when reading labels? I usually look for erythritol or stevia and avoid sugar alcohol but wouldn't know what's in between. thanks!
