Just recently started watching your videos. I really enjoy crappie fishing from a Kayak. I dont have a fish finder so been trying to learn ways to find them. Last time out pretty much only caught a sunburn lol.

Caleb did your dad teach you that trick about threading the minnow to keep the bluegills off them because my dad taught me that trick about 60 years ago and it works👍

When do we get a video of how you cook your fish? I always fry my Crappie filets with either side of French fries or Hush puppies. And a salad to get some greens. How do you do it?

Road to 100k another great video...if you would have used I'm guessing a more natural color to mimic a minnow? I couldn't tell how murky the water was.

I’m curious Caleb I’m from Ohio originally and back in the day you didn’t have to buy fishing license until you was 16 but your fish you kept with your figured in with your dads so between you both it’s one man’s limit is it like that in Texas. Good video by the way keep them coming

Nice video! What type of slip bobber are you using? I am frustrated with mine hanging up in my reel when casting.
@903fishing

I am using a Comal slip cork. 1.5 inch. Are you using the black bead for a bobber stop or the string?
@rodericknelson8371
3 ай бұрын
@903fishing I have started tying my own with the 20lb fly line backing. It keeps a tight hold on the line better than the tube string. I also tried the smallest black bead bobber, and it still gets hung up at times. I never see you hanging up when you are casting. Just trying to improve my casting with this type of fishing. Any suggestions you have would be helpful!

Besides the spawn and winter creek fishing , crappie are very hard to find from the bank during the summer. Just for the simple fact they go to deeper water and it typically they can’t be reached from the bank.
