The Tiswadi Taluka Enforcement Squad carried out inspections in Panaji to identify violations of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) on Friday. GOACAN member Roland Martins, along with officials from the Mamlatdar office, police, and health and sanitary departments, raised concerns about the absence of "No Smoking" signboards in outlets registered with the FDA and excise departments. The squad plans to submit a report on shops violating Section 4 of the COTPA to the FDA and excise authorities for further action.
