I had my 440 for a decade with the contractors gold series gun. I just recently purchased the 410. I choose the 410 because I never needed to use the push pin to release the ball, I prefer to oil it myself, I don’t trust the auto oiler and the lights on the pressure gauge are pointless. I determine how much pressure I need by actually painting, if I need more or less pressure I adjust accordingly. Excellent video. Next time maybe just include the gpm and psi specs for newbies. Lol.

The 410 is the old black and silver spraytech 2155... they're the same machine just different colors and branding. Spraytech went out of business, apparently Titan took over the design. I've had and used both extensively. First off, where is this painter's 5 in 1 tool to unscrew the oil reservoir on the 440? LOL Seriously though, benefits of the 410 is that its considerably lighter weight and the pump filter is the same as the filter in the Titan guns. Its convenient only keeping one type of filter on hand in your pump tool box.... along with a crescent wrench to undo pump filter.. and tips/housings, oil etc in tool box. For fine finishes you use super fine red filters and just replace them as needed instead of trying to clean them. The 440's pump filter... well nobody cleans it every time, and if left on a while, it might not come off by hand... in which case you use a big pair of water pliers you'll need to have with you. Its true though, changing colors is easier, faster, better with the 410's gun sized filter. Unseating a stuck check ball isn't necessary if you clean the pump properly.... I also carry a pint sized dish soap in the sprayer tool box... and final rinse with dish soap. If the pump isn't going to be used for a while, then pour paint thinner down the intake to flood up into the check ball area. The 440 is more powerful, but either is fine for residential work. For commercial work, a Titan 740 or Graco 795 is about the minimum. The big drawback currently is parts for the 410. Parts for the 410 are far less common. The 440 through 640 pumps all share the same pump head parts that might need replaced, same as the Graco 390 through 695 do. Then the Titan 740 through 1040 all share the same larger pump parts.... same as the Graco 795 through 1095 do. I prefer the 410 for residential and fine finish because of its light weight, and easy/cheap filter changes/replacement.

All of these sprayers are available in “skid” and “high rider” frames. The high rider has wheels but it’s a little more annoying to clean with its metal suction tube. The skid is more compact but is a pain to carry around job sites. A unique variant is the “low rider” it’s a skid on wheels, just some things to consider. Every painter should have a sprayer, it multiplies how much you can paint dramatically. “Prep all day, spray all week”

I bought the 440 and I use it for more commercial painting. It is definitely a workhorse for the price. The only issue I have with it is the fact that it is not on a cart with wheels. Carrying it up and down stairs as well as moving it across a property really sucks without a cart. Other than that, a great sprayer sure and easy to clean for the most part.

@@jonathanacevedo3461 for sure, you’ll just need 3 50ft hoses, and 2 hose connectors. You’ll also have to turn the pressure way up to make sure the pressure is still where it’s needed at the tip. I recommend titan HEA low pressure tips, they only need 1,000 psi at the gun to spray a good finish. Wrapping up 150 ft of hose is a pain!!! but bring some rope/thick wire and it will make wrapping it up easier. You’ll need like 1/2 a gallon of paint to fill up the hose. Another tip I have for you is to buy a hose that comes with those new graco/titan gun, you can get it for a nice discount as opposed to buying a gun and a hose separately. Also some recommend you my first hose segment should be the thick 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch hoses so it acts like a funnel and pushes more paint. Hope this helps

I drilled a hole above the little self you can see when you take front of machine off, now I just put oil in manually, my auto oiler stopped working because I over filled it, their is a maximum fill line on that glass I didn't know about, drilling the hole cheaper than buying replacement auto oiler

Question to professionals out there.... For home owner, I planning to use the sprayer primarily doors and trim, along with a one time kitchen cabinets paint job - do you think the 410 will perform well? We also paint the interior of our home about every 5 years.. I don't paint professionally, it will not be used commercially. Perhaps you could recommend a different sprayer. Thanks...

The button to release the ball in the 440 Impact is worth it. Had an older Wagner and I had to undo a nut, push on the ball with a pencil eraser and then oil it, so a simple push button makes life easier.

Awesome video! I rent out sprayers and other tools and we just got some new 440’s. Curious to see how customers like them. Have been renting the 410 for a good while and its a great unit, very simple to service and maintain. I do prefer the Graco SG3 gun over the RX80 however. It is far more reliable and is my go to when I need to replace a Titan gun that gets broken.

@@DownloaderVideo Its just a matter of preference. I've seen paint companies use only Graco, or only Titan. Either one is industrial quality. Here, were only talking about the 410, 440 and 395 which are the smallest professional sprayers made and many companies don't use anything that small for work. Some only go as small as the Titan 740, or Graco 795... and typically go much larger up to the Speedflo hydraulic sprayers, but am pretty sure Titan's hydraulic sprayers are the same as Speedflo as far as replacement parts. One company I worked at for years had a very old (like early 90's?) Graco hydraulic with a 12hp gas engine on it. It was a stand model tall enough to sit over 55 gallon buckets. I think the tips for it were 551's. It put out paint like a pressure washer.
