I always found a little bit distressing how in several videos the evacuation and the work of the crew was lauded as reasonably well done or even heroic, when it was clear that they weren't prepared for such a contingency, which should have been normal procedure. I know there's a shock to seeing the supposedly unsinkable ship go down in its inaugural trip, but it is obvious to me that, if they had stuck to protocol (there was never such a thing as no men allowed in the boats, women and children first means just that, that they have a preference but not exclusivity) many more lives would have been saved.
