Hello, for your information. There is no use of the Balsa in this Titanic model, In addition, the model should not be in water at all only for display.

What type of wood did you use? I mentioned using metal for the keel for structural peace-of-mind when you have to move the model, not water-worthiness. I used to build balsa airplanes, and just looking at that entirely-wood structure makes my palms sweat lol. I quit doing that for a reason : )' BTW, you should check out the model of the Titanic that Fine Art Models did as an extremely limited run. Fine Art Models makes museum-quality stuff. I guarantee you'll get a kick out of it. I heard that the first one sold for $40 000. You should check out their website. They've got quite a few other types of models you'll get a kick out of as well. For example, they make museum quality model classic cars from scratch, using mostly brass. fineartmodels.com/Welcome.html

No need to be a prick. "Recycled materials" tells me nothing. You could at least be man enough to tell me you don't know what kind of wood it is.
