When you arrive at the first tee, make good use of the time you have before it’s safe to hit away by getting your body loose with some dynamic stretching. As Titleist staff instructor Jonathan Yarwood demonstrates in this video, getting your body loose and your muscles activated is extremely important, particularly if you can’t hit the the driving range before your first tee shot.
As Jonathan shows, these stretches build on some preliminary stretches that you can do in the parking lot and include:
° Dynamic lunges with club overhead
° Dynamic lunges with torso rotation
° Pelvic flexion and extension stretches
° Ankle circles
° Internal/external rotation of hip joint
° Shoulder/oblique stretch
° Wrist helicopters
° Neck semi-circles
