I had Bfg on my Tacoma for years. Put these on 6months ago and love them. Can not believe how quiet they are. Work just fine off road too. Great tire.

Light snow performance? I was driving in 10inch to 12inch of slush/ice/slush on a back dirtroad hill. I kept thinking I wasn't going to make it. I tried reversing but that wasn't getting me anywhere so I made the decision to continue going forward. It was a slow yet steady crawl and yes I was very surprised to see that my truck was able to continue moving forward for about 3 miles at night. Yeah, I know...driving at night on the dirt road isn't a good idea especially when I'm not used to driving in such conditions. Fantastic tires! I was also able to drive fairly fast around 50mph on an open highway with nearly 2-4 inches of snow. No wiggling not lost control. The only time I lost control and only once was when I rapidly drove around a hill going up and it's crazy that the truck slipped and instantly it grabbed right back onto the snow covered road. Just wow! Overall, fantastic with around 24k used so far.

I think they did a really nice job on the appearance. It is one of the sharpest all terrain tires. the only thing they could improve on the appearance in my opinion is to make sure you have the white letter availability for all sizes. Some sizes do not have it. And if you're going to have an awesome little scorpion symbol on the side of your tire you better have that option to get that baby in white.

There is tire paint you can buy cheap that solves this issue. Letting letter coloring deter you from a tire is funny, when you can get paints in numerous colors...

@@Derjyn it didn't deter me. I own those tires. Great tires. Cant wait for the next generation. That being said, I should not have to paint my own white letters on my tires. Would be great to see them add more white letter tire sizes to the existing stable of white letter sizes.

One area for improvement is the noise levels. It was quiet when I first bought it. However, despite proper tyre rotations and well managed pressures, after a few thousand kilometres the noise became horrific at about 80km/h and then unpleasant but not as bad at highway speeds above that. I will look elsewhere next time

Didn't air down (lazy, complacent, my own fault) Had a sharp small stone pierce them between the treads 30 KM up the forest service road. Left me changing a tire in unideal conditions. Great tire until that point and still is after but I was disappointed by the puncture. Shouldn't need to air down on a gravel road. Would still recommend, though. See the most aggressive off road tires blow out in the simplest of conditions before. Nothing is ever perfect.

Please do not reduce any off-road or deep snow capability for the sake of wet performance or quiet ride. If anything I would rather you tweak that on the current all terrain plus model and increase off road and deep snow performance in an all terrain plus two categories.

Best tires I've had on my Ranger by far.

I've been enjoying mine for over a year. Just went up around lake Erie area lately and they had over a foot a half of snow. This tire was able to get me through unplowed parking lots with a foot-and-a-half of fresh snow. It's not the best all-terrain tire I had in the snow but it does very well. Slips in the wet a little. Excellent dry performance and good in reasonable mud.

Great question! Unfortunately, we have not been able to test off roading performance. However, this tire has received ratings of 8.8/10 for rock performance, which is excellent. Falken Wildpeak. I had k02s on my truck and they are good but the Wildpeaks are better at everything. I found the k02s to be slippery on icy roads.

Actually before the ATR was the original Pirelli Scorpion AT. I had two sets of them and really liked them. Pirelli saw that the vast majority of customers didn't take their tires off road so they reduced the off road ability and more on road comfort in the ATR. The ATR failed in anything but flat, smooth, flattop. Seems the AT+ had addressed those issues and work as implied by the title "All Terrain."

They seem like a good replacement tire for Tacoma but the fact that the tread pattern forms a P for Pirelli and an S for Scorpion is a bit of a turn off. It just doesn't seem very scientific to me, more like a gimmick. 3:57
