Liner notes from Jesse:
"I am a little reluctant to share this info, cos it might be a bit too much but I also think it's important to be open and honest about things, and show that underneath the surface, there's all kinds of things operating.
I wrote this song after being in bed for 5 days with severe depression.
I had watched a film, 'Threads' (1984), about the brutal realities of nuclear holocaust, and this film had such a profound effect on me it sent me into a deep depression.
I wasn't in a great place to start, I had two brutally lean months on a business I own, and was on the verge of bankruptcy. Things have come good, but damn it was hairy.
But this film drew me into one of the deepest mental holes I think I have ever experienced.
I don't recommend ANYONE watch this film if they are mentally compromised.
This depression was alleviated in some part by way of a multi part podcast series by a lovely Scottish journalist and podcaster, The Atomic Hobo, who broke the film down minute by minute.
Her voice was part of this depression, and it was sublime and beautiful.
I said to a friend tonight to treat it like an acid trip. Pay the same amount of respect to this film that you would a DMT trip, because this is like that, but far, far worse.

This film will shred you into pieces you never thought you had. It is the ultimate work of hauntology as an artform, in my view. I encourage my fellow hauntologic artists to examine this piece. Every frame is a fraction of history.

Details on this composition:
I was fucking around on the Wavestate, and a flash in brain said 'nobody had a gun to your head', which reminded me of previous meditations around the nature of addiction and choice.
So there, I wrote this piece, to talk about the nature of addictive psychology, and the weird shit we all go through as humans who have poor impulse control.
It's pure Peter Gabriel. His influence is 70% the motivation for this piece. A large part is Mike Oldfield as well, an enormous influence. Maybe a few shades of Laurie Anderson for fun. A touch of Eno too."
