Hello. I bought a 5mm TMB and sold it, since I wasn't very convinced. Especially those bought on Amazon or Aliexpress. In the same focal length I prefer an orthoscopic eyepiece. Although for tastes the colors. Thank you very much.

I have the 5mm TMB PII and I do not like it,...it is much to glary for me on the Jupiter and Saturn, it gives me magnification of 165x in my 127mm refractor. But it was Ok on the moon. It wasn't dew or sky haze from moisture in the atmosphere. Do you notice this with that EP? I know its a different FL than mine...just curious. Thank you.

You are correct, the moon looked OK, Saturn & Jupiter a little bit glary. There are better out there but cost more. Thanks for watching & commenting 👍

@@astroamateuruk Thank you for your reply, I'm considering the AT Paradigm 5mm or something in the 4- 4.5mm range. Looking forward to more reviews.

i have a question here! I recently bought TMB Planetary II 3.2mm and when i shake it, it rattles. like something is not tight inside. The optics looks ok and undamaged. It seems like rattle sound is done by the screwable part (that you showed in 1:13). It does not have effect on performance. I just wanted to ask whether this is normal behaviour for your eyepiece too. I am considering reclaiming and returning to seller and sending a new one but if its normal i would not do that... thanx

If I have a F500 telescope and want to look at stars and landscape. Instead of upgrading the 10mm eyepieces to a 9mm isn't it better if I bye a 6 or 5 mm?

i found that when you use the smaller mm eyepieces the image isnt always that clear unless the aperture is large enough to let in A LOT of light say like an 8" scope.

Aren't the SvBony eyepieces with 66 or 68 degrees better then this one for the same price ?

I don't know why exactly but I didn't care for these. At the price I bought a few and I found the view to be quite cool, which is fine, as opposed to say a TV plossl coffee color filtering effect. But it wasn't the cold view I didn't like, it was a sense of blandness. I used them in an excellent 8 inch F/6 Newtonian and must admit I quickly returned to my Baader Hyperion Eyepieces, which at the time were like poor man's Radians. The Hypertension outperformed the TMBs in every way but at a higher price point. If you don't need to wear glasses at the Eyepiece I would go with a set of orthos over these. And keep in mind I loved TMB telescopes. The 650 changed my life with it's rugged, exquisite craftsmanship and spot on fast optics. The sheer weight of it was awe inspiring. But these planetary eyepieces were imports and did not for my eyes. Your experience may vary. Thank you for the excellent review sir.
