First, you learn how much free time you put in standing out in the weather, the heat, the cold and try to wrestle with a tarp for 2 to 3 hours in the wind. Next, you will find out that if you deliver on a Friday chances are you won’t have a load picked up until Monday so you’ll be doing a lot of sitting. If you arrive late in the afternoon, you may not get unloaded and have to wait over the weekend to get unloaded. I did flatbed for six months and threw it out. I went back to reefers. Now I work local. I get paid for all my time, by the hour and only work five days a week. Just finished three weeks of earned vacation at full pay.

“Premier flat bed company” is right! I started my trucking career with TMC. I was in Mike Fisher’s last Securement Class. Amazing knowledge. I worked with TMC for only 9 months before being invited into a dream opportunity. I was a 32%-er. I learned how to run a truck for profit. What I learned at TMC has catapulted me into a lead driver position (I’m owner op) for a major music artist, running 10 trucks (some owner op, some contracted) of which I get a % on top of my day rate and growing my business. The most constant compliments I get is “dedication to details”, “no short-cuts”, “hands-on”, “problem solver”, “driving skills”, etc. (Humble brag! I’m proud.) I learned these characteristics through TMC. Their formula works. Period. Thanks Black & Chrome!! Couldn’t have gotten here without you.
