I'm in Fresno and this is my first year not pruning. So far my plants seem much happier all around. Previously I've thought we can only grow cherry tomatoes because of our climate, but now I'm thinking that letting them keep all their branches and leaves might make all the difference. We shall see! ~Audrey

Blight? ground rot? Aphids? gets into mine every year. Neem oil doesn't seem to make a dif. The Roma plants i bought are making nice looking fruit but they're not firm inside ~ mushy. Never seen that before.

I’m in Modesto CA. I’m losing some flowers and seeing a few fruits drop. Wondering if I’m getting too much heat exposure with the temps and if I need to shade them. No other signs of lack of nutrients or water.

Blossom drop is somewhat common, there’s multiple reasons why it happens. One of the reasons can be from high heat however I’m in Exeter and haven’t had an issue with that with our tomatoes and our weather is fairly similar. Another cause can be either lack of water or too much water, but tomato plants do continue to blossom all throughout the season, so as the temperatures drop, you’ll have new blossoms, and you should have better success!

Never really tried pruning suckers 🤔 I should definitely learn how to...trying anything new this year?

Yes these are my updated thoughts, in some situations it’s better not to prune the suckers.
