Love the GS's I rode the snot out of a '78 GS 750 years ago. I passed on the chance to buy a GS1000 for my first bike... probably a good thing.

Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki all make excellent bikes. I like them all, but personally I am more attached to Suzukis for a variety of personal reasons. You'll find just as many guys who will say the same thing about any other bike makes, its all about personal preference

Yeah, theres no good reason to prefer GS over KZ, CB, or any other line of Japanese bikes in my opinion. My bike is a GV1200, Ive ridden GS850, 450, 750, 1000, and 1150, all awesome bikes. Ive had a great time on a number of great GSXR's, and I like the GSXR750 over pretty much any other modern bike. The SV650 is one of the most surprising bikes I have ever been on... it goes on and on

When I was a young man one of my friends Dad was a Suzuki dealer. I got to demo their last big two stroke which I believe was a 750. It had a kick starter on it but I dont think anyone ever used it... Brings back great memories!

Currently own a 81' Honda CB750c and a 82' Virago 750. I'm probably going to sell one or both and move up to a GS1000 or GS1100. Are there any years or models I should avoid? I tend to buy very late 70's early 80's bikes. Thanks!

Good video, thanks for posting. You'd love my '79 Gs1000L. It's red and everything's original, even the paint. I got it from the original owner who never rode it. It had 8,300 miles on it when I got it this spring. Man, what a find. Man, what a bike. Man, what a deal!

Its not a load bearing part, you can bend it if you want without any catastrophic effects, altho the chrome might chip and the bars might kink a bit. Best to get a new set of handlebars that you like. Let me know if you need any parts, I have tons of gs450 parts lying around

i nearly traded my 150cc scooter for the 1983 gs 750 but the guy had taken off the mufflers and it was extremely loud i live in a sub division and when it was idling it was as loud as a big bike in 6th gear so my dad suggested i decline the offer plus it wasnt registered or titled in the guys name who was trying to trade it to me

Ok two things: 1) Its so good to hear you say that you love the GS series 'cause I recently bought an 82 GS450L as a starter bike and now I appreciate what I have even more. 2) The handlebars are a little too narrow for me and I'm wondering If I can bend them out a bit or will this weaken the metal too much? Any advice is greatly appreciated good sir...thanks-

Wrong again nitwit. The government paid off Suzuki to install micro GPS devices into all their bikes and disabling the speedometer cable cuts power to the device. I don't want big brother tracking my sensitive movements dont know about you. Wake up sheeple
